Profile
Palmentere Brothers Cartage Service, Inc. is both a common carrier and contract carrier over irregular routes. Transporting general commodities (except Class A and B explosives, household goods and commodities in bulk) between points in the United States (except Alaska and Hawaii).

Large grocery companies are our specialty. We have an excellent track record serving shippers and receivers of refrigerated and dry freight who demand perfection.

We specialize in transporting temperature-controlled products. This includes fresh produce and frozen foods, cheese and dairy products, candy, fresh and frozen meats, health care products, and the many related ingredients used in the manufacturing of these items. We also transport deep frozen products such as ice cream and frozen novelties that require temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit.

Although transporting temperature-controlled products is a majority of our business, we also handle other time-sensitive products, including retail store merchandise, advertising supplements for magazines and newspapers, paper products.

Our organization has been designed for shippers who demand quality. Drivers check call on a daily basis, which enables us to track our loads accurately and allow us to communicate any changes in the status of the load to the driver on a timely basis. Whenever you need to know the current location of your merchandise, our Central Dispatch can inform you from their daily communication with our drivers. Each truck is also equipped with satellite tracking.

Staff
Palmentere Brothers has built an experienced staff of professionals with many years in the trucking business. All of our dispatch staff have many years experience working with service-oriented customers that demand on-time deliveries and timely load-tracking capabilities. There is a dispatcher available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

All of our drivers must have at least two years verifiable experience and are given additional training in cargo management before they are dispatched with their first load. We also have an ongoing driver-training program, which focuses on safe operations, cargo management, and customer relations.
